The Department of Obstetrics focuses mainly on the care of pregnant women, the management of pregnancy, labour and childbirth, as well as the postpartum period (the time after childbirth).

Obstetricians provide medical care to ensure the health and well-being of both the mother and the fetus during pregnancy, monitor the progress of labour and handle any complications that may arise during delivery. While Gynaecology focuses on the health of the female reproductive system, which includes the uterus, ovaries, vagina and breasts.

Gynaecologist diagnose and treat conditions related to menstruation, fertility, menopause and reproductive health. They also provide care for conditions such as infections, hormonal imbalances and cancers of the reproductive organs.
